I’m unwell, I’ve been nostalgic
Reaching back into the box again
I don’t stop myself, i remove the plastic
Welcoming any fleeting warmth held within
Sentimental hell, they say you can’t take it with you
It turns out you can, if you’ve got the space
A noxious well, you can’t help but drawn from
Thirsting for it every time, a little worse when you get a taste

I thought if I kept these things,
Somehow you wouldn’t forget me
A hope that I rode, though the rain and the rings
As illogical as it may be

I hope you’re well, I can’t call you
I’m sweet on a song i’d like to share
And can you tell? I’m out of holes to crawl to
If you know one that i don’t well i could meet you there
Break the spell, if a half-true memory
Put it back into the box again
It dies where it fell, afraid it aint no friend to me
Even when the days are as dark as they have been
